Chris McCarty, co writer of Steve Miller Band hits like Swingtown and Wide River, produced this CD around 2001 with The Christopher B Bd (pat malone,Steve Lindsay, David Bryant) and a plethora of talented friends like Ronald Roybal on Native American Flute and Kenny Lee Lewis of the Steve Miller Band. This is a lovely, slow dream of a record with ramped down versions of Swingtown, Wide River. I like the version of 16 Tons here, also Chinese Colors.
When my daughter was a baby, we strolled to Starbucks every day to get out of the house(yeah, I know chains are supposed to be evil, but the people at Starbucks were nice and the local indie coffee shop was snotty-and my baby was a well behaved cutie). I struck up a conversation there with a nice guy about local music. He wrote songs for the Steve Miller Band and promised to bring me a cd. Well, lo and behold, he actually brought me this CD the next day! I loaded it into my mac and have enjoyed the music ever since so now I'm passing it along. Thanks!
