Commissioned work by Rod McGehee captures the flavor of a small town rodeo in Texas. Contestants wait in "Cowboy Alley" for their turn to ride. Oil on canvas painted on three 4 x 5' panels. Planned and executed by Mr. McGehee and his clients who worked together from a trip to the rodeo through preliminary sketches and the finished triptych. Painted in 1993. Rod McGehee was born in Iowa in 1953. He has lived mostly in the American West and currently makes his home in the Hill Country of Texas. His works are widely collected and reproduced. This is an original oil on canvas, not a reproduction or giclee print. The painting is in Fannin County, Texas and we will provide free delivery within a 300 mile radius.
